I'm a mom to an absolutely wonderful crew — twin 9-year-old boys who are pure chaos in the best possible way, a 17-year-old daughter who somehow still thinks I'm cool, a 23-year-old married daughter, a 27-year-old stepson, and a 25-year-old stepdaughter. Life in this house is loud, messy, and absolutely full.
Somewhere along the way I figured out that the best memories rarely come with a price tag. A cardboard box fort beats a theme park. A backyard treasure hunt beats an expensive toy. A family cooking night beats a restaurant. Not because we can't spend money — but because the cheap stuff is usually just better.
